Dante Pro Lab - HacktheBox

What I Learned:

Dante Pro Lab by HacktheBox is a challenging multi machine lab that requires obtaining admin privileges on each machine on the network, collecting flags along the way. Throughout this process, I learned some valuable skills & encountered many situations that required critical thinking within the lab’s context.

• Network Pivoting – Using tools old and new such as ProxyChains, Ligolo-ng, SSH dynamic forwarding, and sshuttle. Trying different techniques was a blast.
• Web application vulnerabilities – Exploited different web vulnerabilities.
• Windows & Linux privilege escalation – Reinforced what I’ve learned about escalating privs on Windows and Linux machines
• Binary exploitation & Exploit Development – My first buffer overflow priv esc!
• Post Exploitation & Note Taking – Strongly reinforced good note taking habits, collecting credentials, hashes and other valuable information from machines after exploitation.

Such a wild ride, and one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had on the HTB platform.
